Our Culture is Core

Our culture and values define us at Icon Credit Union. We live by five core values that permeate every position throughout our company. Each value was carefully selected and we know it represents who we are and how we conduct business. All too often, companies preach the importance of culture, team-building, transparency and honesty in their mission statements and values, but at Icon, we are committed to living a higher standard. We don't stop by saying the words. We study their meaning, engage our teams in discussions and feedback on how we best reflect these values to each other and to our members. Through our Higher Standards cards and our Employee Portal Impression badges, we can recognize outstanding team members who exemplify these values daily, from the front-line newbie to the CEO.

From the First Day

New team members, from tellers to VPs, are welcomed into the Icon family with a "green carpet" cheer and greeting with our top executives. Each one then receives an in-depth introduction to our mission, the Credit Union Movement and how we are each able to help our members cross their unique bridge to financial success. This welcome also includes one-on-one meetings with the top executives as well as key resources people. Following this mission-focused orientation, new members are then transitioned to their customized training program and are introduced to the teams, tools and resources they can use to be successful and grow in both their current role and possible future roles. Each new hire's onboarding experience wraps up with a "Coffee with Connie," a special offsite experience with our CEO where the new hire can share insights, ask questions and learn more about Icon's unique culture, mission and legacy from our top leader herself.

Icon Credit Union believes in leveraging our employees' strengths to help them reach their potential. Every team member is encouraged to focus on what they do best rather than trying to force them into a box. More importantly, our values of Drive and Leadership encourage our staff to take risks, shadow each other, learn new skills, participate on teams, serve on project teams and grow their careers with Icon. Our performance review program encourages employees and managers to have a true, transparent conversations on expectations, opportunities and how to be more successful together. With dedication and drive, employees at all levels have the opportunity to challenge themselves to learn more, push harder and establish themselves as a leader in the organization. Having Fun and Giving Back

Icon is very committed to people who like to help people ... and who like to have fun. All staff members are able to give back to the community and volunteer with our Volunteer Hour program. Full time staff receive 40 paid hours annually to volunteer. Part time staff members receive 20 paid hours. We challenge each other with fun competitions such as the annual Junior Achievement Bowl-a-thon to see who can raise the most money while dressed in the most colorful costumes. The CEO, COO and VPs, join in with front-line staff for our annual ICamp, Icon's annual all-company camping retreat at the YMCA's Y-Camp at Horsethief Reservoir where staff from all levels support each other (and scream!) on the "Big Swing" and the Zipline and more importantly, the High V where we challenge ourselves to test our limits, strengthen our courage and support each other in our challenges. Icon team members from all over Icon reconnect at our annual all-staff conference, Iconnect, as well as during branch contests, chili cook-offs, holiday-themed parties, member bake sales, Warm Hearts, Toasty Toes and Spirit Week. It is an environment built to make banking s fun as it can be!
