It is our mission to advocate, support and train. Our employees work hard to always represent Local Highway Jurisdictions’ best interest, deliver the highest quality assistance, and provide information and educational courses to every Local Highway Jurisdiction in Idaho.
To keep employees engaged and fulfilled, LHTAC offers incredible benefits, competitive pay, financial education support, and flexible work schedules to accommodate employee family needs. Many employees have chosen LHTAC as their lifelong career, and they stay until retirement. Going against the big government stereotype, LHTAC is a small company where everyone knows each other, and needs are accommodated. Training and professional development opportunities are available to all levels of employees year-round. Offices are decorative and cozy, the workspaces are clean and inviting, and the latest technology is available in small and large settings.
Lots of perks are available too! Staff are encouraged to give kudos to one another for jobs well done, and these intangible distinctions can accumulate into real monetary prizes. We celebrate major holidays, and have parties for birthdays, retirements, baby showers, and employees even gather after work hours to go camping, running, golfing, picnicking, and have dinner together. Managers often provide snacks and treats, usually just to make an average day go a little bit better. LHTAC also offers incentives year round to stay healthy and happy, such as participating in programs like May in Motion, Ridetober, encouraging walking breaks, having workout challenges, supporting dietary needs, and volunteering for charitable causes.
Employees are close friends to one another, travel together, and work on projects as a cohesive team. We even celebrate each other's mistakes with the infamous Conehead Award. In our case, even for a public agency, human beings have this amazing gift to make that place home. Working for the public is very rewarding, and many of the local agencies make it a point to thank us for the help. The work we do has tangible benefits, and can be seen in the before/after improvements to local roadways. It is satisfying for our employees to see how their work really does help the people in Idaho.
